Hilton Caledonia (Curio Collection) Edinburgh

Following its rebrand in 2024, the owners initiated a complete refurbishment to expand the current capacity of the hotel to more than 300 bedrooms.

Brief:

The phased refurbishment, specified by Interior designers, Cunningham Mclean included schemes for over 250 bedrooms.  Skopos were asked to supply a wide width dimout fabric, curtain pelmet, velvet cushion fabric and a voile for the 3rd floor refurb.  Celeste, a woven textured dimout from Skopos’ Accents was chosen for curtains and pelmets, cushions in Beau Velvet and voiles from the Skopos Bespoke offer, for a unique end result.

Outcome:

The natural finish of Celeste in a Vanilla colourway gave curtains and smart pelmets  a tranquil and relaxing appearance, with a pop of colour injected into the room in the form of cushions, using the Blaze colourway, a vibrant orange from Beau Collection.  The ornate Hampton pelmet created an opulent feel and the Bespoke Voiles completed the bedroom scheme.

Skopos provided a full service solution -  including discussion around design, fabric, full product make-up and installation.

The phased refurbishment has been staggered over 8 phases in total.
