Barton Manor Hotel, Upholstery, Curtains & Bedding

Barton Manor is a family owned luxury hotel, nestled in between Blackpool, Trough of Bowland & Lake District. With fifty-one bedrooms the facilities include a pool, gym and spa, function rooms and an award-winning restaurant.

A refurbishment of the existing bedrooms was overseen by General Manager Andrea Burton and the architecture and Interior design scheme was created by Constructive Thinking Studio Ltd, Liverpool.

Brief:

The brief for refurbishment was to create a clean, unfussy look, to cater for business and holiday stays and wedding reservations,   providing new curtains, bedthrows and upholstery solutions for all bedrooms.  Constructive Thinking Studio Ltd in Liverpool provided  Skopos with initial palette selections and following visits to CTSL, the fabric selection was narrowed down to co-ordinate with the two chosen colour palettes.

Outcome:

The yellow and pink Schemes were selected from Karoo, Farne, La Feria, Peru and Enchant collections with all voiles in Murmur Chalk.

Both schemes used greys for the curtains, pelmets, upholstery, large scatters and throws.  Leopard Starling wide width Trevira was selected for the curtains with Farne Fossil linen look fabric for the pelmets.  The Leopard design was also used for the Hokkaido style throws with Peru plain colour Powder for the lining and trim.  Large scatter cushions were also made up in the Farne Fossil design.

The colour carriers for the schemes came from the small scatter cushions  - Enchant Myth Primrose cushions for yellow scheme rooms and Myth Huckleberry for pink scheme rooms.  The upholstery also created a splash of colour with Cordoba Dapple for the main body of the sofa and yellow tones from Bandeira Honey and pink from Bandeira Coral on sofa arms.

Skopos worked closely with the interior designers, client and on site contracting teams to supply new soft furnishings to the existing bedrooms. We undertook site surveys and  provided detailed quotations from which the client raised purchase orders.

All curtains, sheers, pelmets, bed throws and scatter cushions were made and installed by Skopos’ experienced fitting team.
