Friargate, Preston, Printed FR Fabrics

The accommodation in Preston is set in landscaped grounds on Friargate in the heart of the University Quarter and minutes’ walk from all of the University of Central Lancashire’s faculty buildings. Inspiration for the interior was taken from Boutique hotels to create luxurious and inspiring living spaces for students.

Brief:

Each floor of the accommodation was given a colour scheme (lime, orange or purple) which starting with the hall carpet and following through into the kitchens and bedrooms. Portergate sent the Skopos designers fabric and carpet swatches to colour match to provide bespoke curtains.  Three existing Skopos designs were selected for the curtains and bedding: Quiver from Enchant  collection, Sonar from Formation and Joonba from Lowanna.  A new Bespoke pattern was also created which originated from the Dilkara design also from the Lowanna collection.

Outcome:

Once the colour matching was complete, the designs were printed onto a blackout base cloth for the curtains and a lightweight base cloth for the bedding.  The curtains were made by Skopos. Skopos provided full service including measuring, fitting the poles, tracks and curtains in all 244 bedrooms and 63 kitchens.
